WELLA BALSAM SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER - A 70s MUST-HAVE!

In 1972, Wella launched the first shampoo produced specifically to be sold in department stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, and perfumeries.

Then in 1976, Wella discovers Chitosan - an ingredient used in hairspray that improves hold but doesn't stiffen hair.

A new generation of great-smelling styling products is born and Wella Balsam becomes a must-have salon product.

(Check out the PRINT AD below from 1976 for Wella Balsam with Farrah Fawcett.)

  1. I used the one with the green cap, which I think was for extra body. It had the best smell!
