LOVE'S BABY SOFT ORIGINAL SCENT AD - APRIL 1974...

In April 1974, Love Cosmetics began to make a line of Baby Soft products meant for adults. The items were scented with an innocent fragrance most often associated with babies. There was a Baby Soft talc, a body lotion, and a foam bath.

The most popular Baby Soft product, though, was their Body Mist After Bath Spray.  This delightful light mist was very popular with teenagers as well as co-eds and young adults, available in lemon, rain, and original.

The slogan on this ad (above) from the 1970's reads, 'On the theory that softness is what boys find most exciting about girls...'  Baby Soft products were originally priced from $2 to $2.75, and still available at reasonable prices.  Click on an image below to see more:

1970's PURPLE WIND-UP TWIN BELL CLAPPER ALARM CLOCK FROM BRADLEY - RING-A-LING!!

Here's the Purple Alarm Clock that goes with our post on The Perfect 70's Kid's room.

This great 'low-tech' manual, wind-up alarm clock was made by the Bradley Clock Company in the 1970's.

This free-standing clock stood about 4.5 inches high and had glow-in-the-dark hands and hour markers.

The alarm sounds with a brass clapper that strikes each bell on top of the clock.

Luckily, this feature can also be (manually) turned off by turning the clapper guard on the top - which is also how you turn off the alarm once it has sounded.

There's nothing like waking up to a fun, purple clock!
