In 1972, Wella launched the first shampoo produced specifically to be sold in department stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, and perfumeries.
Then in 1976, Wella discovers Chitosan - an ingredient used in hairspray that improves hold but doesn't stiffen hair.
A new generation of great-smelling styling products is born and Wella Balsam becomes a must-have salon product.

I used the one with the green cap,which I think was for extra body. It had the best smell!
ReplyDeleteI modelled for 'Wella' in the early 1970s in NZ...television ad and some still photography ..I wonder if this ad is somewhere in the archives?
