1970's POP-TARTS AD WITH MILTON THE TOASTER!

This ad from the 1970's for Kellogg's Pop-Tarts toaster pastries featured an animated toaster named Milton.

Here, Milton the talking toaster is telling us that Pop-Tarts have, "Real fruit preserves in a tasty pastry crust!"

The ones in the ad above have that characteristic 'crunchy' frosting topped with yummy, colorful sprinkles.

The first Pop-Tarts came out in four different flavors:Apple, Strawberry, Blueberry, and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.

Originally not frosted when first introduced in 1964, it was later determined that frosting could withstand the toaster.

The first frosted Pop-Tarts were officially released in 1967 - Just in time to become a 70's breakfast and afternoon snack staple!

(Personal all-time favorites: The un-frosted versions of Strawberry, Chocolate, and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.)

Today, there are a wide variety of Pop-Tart flavors, including Chocolate Chip, S'mores, Raspberry, and even French Toast.

And, thankfully, still readily available in stores and online.
