In the 1970's Clairol sold a fantastic, earthy, woodsy emerald green shampoo called Herbal Essence. This is in contrast to the shampoo line with a different formula and fragrance that they are currently selling as "Herbal Essences" (plural).
With its real, woodsy smell, Clairol Herbal Essence was a wonderful shampoo that made your hair smell like an Earth Goddess. This was the original green herbal essense bottle with the girl on the cover with blonde hair in a pool with flowers and herbs.
