ICONIC FAVORITE 70'S BRAND TOM'S OF MAINE
In 1970, Tom Chappell took out a $5000 loan to launch a natural products company called Tom's of Maine.
Working out of a warehouse in Kennebunk, Maine, he created soaps,
shampoos, and toothpaste free from added chemicals, and sustainable for
the environment.
Their product line has been added to over the years to now also include scented & unscented deodorant, dental floss, kid's toothpaste, mouthwash, and toothbrushes. They still offer completely fluoride-free toothpaste.
The Tom's
of Maine brand name and manufacturing company of natural personal
care products has been a majority-owned subsidiary of
Colgate-Palmolive since 2006 and is still headquartered in Kennebunk, ME and are committed to sources derived from nature.
SO FAR SO GOOD & STILL JUST AS GREAT ALL THESE YEARS LATER!
