70's RETRO VINTAGE SATIN TRACK SHORTS & BOMBER JACKETS

70's RETRO VINTAGE SATIN TRACK SHORTS & BOMBER JACKETS

These satin clothing styles from the 1970's were so cute and comfy too. Especially popular in light, pastel colors.

The shorts were a silky stretch polyester fabric that made them perfect for gym, running or even dance workouts.

The jacket was also soft and silky but in a more substantial fabric without stretch. Both had a unique and trendy 'shiny' look.

The luminous Murano glass or lucite grapes and other fruit had a nice weight and look to them, especially when they caught the light.

It's always interesting to see what is still available today that you can get brand new. See a few of those offerings below.

Both ads feature the tag line, "Lady Baltimore Luggage ...what a way to go!"

Lady Baltimore Luggage was an elegant mid-century luggage and accessories manufacturer from the 1950s through the 1970s. They were adorned with elaborate brass detailing and hardware.

The Baltimore Luggage Company manufactured luggage in the city of Baltimore, which it sold under the trade name of "Lady Baltimore", in eight different sizes.

DELICIOUS DANISH GO-ROUNDS & RINGS BREAKFAST TOASTER PASTRY OF THE 1970's

These were so good - Danish Go Rounds

Called 'pop-tarts' for adults, Danish Go-Rounds and Danish Rings were a delicious toaster pastry popular in the 1970's.

They were indeed quite popular, but they apparently broke too easily. So in 1976 they were replaced by Danish Rings, which were flakier and more oval-shaped.

Sadly, those never quite caught on (even though they were just as good) and they were discontinued in 1980. Both would have worked well on a tray in a toaster oven, but not as 'convenient' though.

Danish Rings looked about the same as their predecessor, but the filling went all the way across instead of just in each tube and the pastry was joined as one piece.

There is really nothing quite like them with there dense bumpy outer texture and delicious filling. They are very missed!

These won't quite do it I'm sure (see below), but may be worth a try.
