Johnson's Baby Oil Ad 'TEEN' Magazine 1972 -

This ad for Johnson's Baby Oil is from a TEEN Magazine I have dated December 1972.  The headliner says, "When you have the face of a girl and the body of a woman you still want the skin of a baby."

The content of the ad goes on to say, "While a young face can sometimes have more than enough oil, the body that goes with it often doesn't have enough.  But Johnson's Baby Oil can help keep a body that's been exposed to sixteen or so summers and winters baby-soft all over."

"Even rough spots like elbows, knees, and heels.  Even legs that have just been shaved.  Even dry hands.  And if you add some of the pure, gentle oil that keeps babies' skin soft to your bubbly bath, it'll leave you feeling silky and slinky from neck to toe.  Johnson's Baby Oil.  If you're woman enough to want the skin of a baby."

HE'S BEEN EATING BIG MACs SINCE 1972!

Below is a magazine ad, for a Big Mac sandwich, from the early 70's.

Since 1972 Don Gorske, a retired prison guard, has eaten at least two Big Macs a day.  The 57-year-old, from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin will be eating his 25,000th Big Mac on the 39th anniversary of eating his first.

He jokes that 25,000 is a milestone because people didn’t think he’d live this long. But he says he recently saw a doctor who said he was in good health and his cholesterol is low.

My guess is that the happiness he gets from eating a Big Mac negates any possible adverse health effects!?  Gorske says he ate nine on May 17, 1972 (must have been 'love at first bite'!) and has only missed nine days since then, for various reasons.

Don Gorske even has his own paperback book (see ad below, and excerpt) filled with his experiences over the years of eating a Big Mac everyday, including fun trivia about all the places throughout the United States that he has eaten a Big Mac!

"Everything about eating Big Macs every day was perfect. .... I never had to cook. It was fast and ready within minutes after I left work every day. ...I never had a craving for something different. I had found my perfect food.... The stress of having to eat a non-McDonalds meal was over."  Don Gorske

The Famous Big Mac Jingle:  A 1974 advertising campaign featured a list of the ingredients in a Big Mac: "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."
