Maybelline Kissing Potions were the first roll-on lip glosses. They came in an assortment of flavors, and could be purchased at the local five and ten store, which was the main retail source for many beauty products of the 1970's.
Kissing Potion is no longer carried by Maybelline but rather Tinte Cosmetics as Kissing Stick in fun flavors such as Grape, Cotton Candy, Peppermint, Cake, Orange Vanilla, Black Cherry, etc.
Additional flavors include Root Beer, Pina Colada, Coconut, Banana Coconut, Strawberry, Watermelon, Bubble Gum, Peach,
Tinte also has roller-ball Roller Lip Potion in flavors such as: Cherry, Mint, Cinnamon, Bubblegum, Strawberry, Crazy Cola, Candy Cane, and Marshmallow. Super yummy - and super glossy!
OMG, flashback, I remember these! And "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" shampoo, and the Love's Baby Soft you wrote about in another post. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.

ReplyDeleteHi, Thanks so much for your comment. I don't remember for sure about the Cake Mix - but that sounds like a great flavor! They do still have Kissing Potion available in Vanilla - might taste a little like vanilla cake. Hope this helps. Enjoy!! :)
