Many are wondering what will happen tomorrow on May 21, 2011, when Harold Camping predicts that the Rapture will occur. The Bible says no one knows - only the Father. "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36)
Whatever happens tomorrow, in the end, you have to be sure of what is going to happen to you when you die. Put your trust in Jesus Christ. He is the only way. "Jesus saith...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
What does that mean? Well, trust in God's grace through Jesus Christ, read your Bible, and pray to Him in all sincerity of heart. "Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (Acts 16:31)
In the meantime, be a 'freak' for the Lord and live your life for Him. This is what the 'Jesus Freaks' were so enthusiastic about. "What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:8)
So why a 'Freak'? The dictionary defines 'freak' as: "A thing or occurrence that is markedly unusual or irregular." A true Christian is indeed 'different' from the world and its hostility toward the things of God. (see John 17:14)
You are not only different, but special - and even chosen out of the world: "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:19)
We are His: God is the answer, not a date or a prediction. Only the Lord can bring us to Redemption. So, "Lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)
Our Redemption is through grace alone, and not anything that we ourselves can do: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
~ Hallelujah! ~
Amen. I'm a Jesus Freak, too!
